First cut the head and tail of the bhindi, then cut it into 2 pieces. Grind roughly chopped onion,tomato,green chilli, ginger and garlic altogether in a blender.
Heat oil in a pan, fry bhindi till the colour changes and then take it out.
Then add some oil in a pan, heat it, add asafoetida and cumin seeds, saute it and then add the grinded masala into it. Cook for 2 minutes and then add turmeric powder , red chilli and kashmiri red chilli powder, coriander and dry mango powder, black pepper powder, carom seeds and salt into it. Cook all on medium flame.
Then add fried bhindi and 1 cup of water to it and cook it for 2 minutes on low-medium flame by covering it with a lid and then switch off the flame.
Tawa Bhindi is ready to serve.
